Abstract

The publication of documents held in the collections of the Archives Administration of Ajara is a key aspect of archival work. Here, we present to the reader a selection of materials from Case No. 29 of collection R-178, which records the results of the 1923 agricultural census in the territory of the present-day Kobuleti Municipality. The document is presented in tabular form. It contains nominal lists detailing household composition—specifying the head of the household, the number of family members, gender structure, cultivated land areas, and livestock numbers (cattle, small ruminants, and horses).

Data from the 1923 agricultural census of the Kobuleti district provide a clear picture of the region's socio-economic and demographic conditions during the early period of Soviet rule. Such documents serve as an invaluable source for the study of local history, genealogy, and agrarian structure.
