There are many museums in Georgia, local history, ethnographic, archeological, etc. But there are not many private museums. Among them, the Museum of the Life and Culture of the Population of Southwestern Georgia (Ethnographic) is located a few kilometers from the center of Batumi, on the right side of the central highway leading to Khelvachauri, at 14 Sharashidze Street, spread over an area of three thousand square meters. The inspiration, creator and founder of this museum is Kemal Turmanidze, a self-taught artist, woodcarver, nationally recognized personality, excellent person and best, loyal friend, born in one of the beautiful villages of Keda Municipality, who, along with childhood memories, has brought together the history of his native country and one of its corners - southwestern Georgia - in one museum.
